REMINDER: PROTECT YOUR PETS DURING THE FRIGID TEMPS
Northland residents are being reminded that given the current sub-zero climate, our four-legged friends need to be closely watched and kept warm. Though they appear to have natural protection with their furry coats, cats and dogs are especially susceptible to frostbite on exposed areas such as their ears, nose and paws. It’s best to keep pets indoors as temperatures plummet.
If your pet is exposed to road salt or other ice melt chemicals, be sure to clean their paws thoroughly and keep their fur free of these contaminants.
